Take Care With This Edition

I am deeply disappointed with the very bad graphic quality of this edition. It is a xerox edition; it is so poor that you cannot satisfactorily visualize the pictures. I really think that the authors do not know what the publishers did with that important oeuvre. It is a shame, no matter the price went down and down. Take care with this edition. It reflects the decadence of environmental psychology ?

About the Author
W. G. Rees is a senior lecturer at the Scott Polar Research Institute, University of Cambridge, where he has taught and researched in the field of remote sensing for over twenty years. He has been active in developing and applying remote sensing methods to the mapping and monitoring of the polar regions, having conducted fieldwork in arctic regions of Europe and Asia and in Svalbard. For the past few years he has been joint coordinator of PPS Arctic, a major programme to investigate the characteristics and behaviour of the arctic treeline as part of the International Polar Year, and he is also a member of the ISPRS (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) working group on LiDAR. Dr Rees has published several books on remote sensing, including the first and second editions of Physical Principles of Remote Sensing (1990, 2001, Cambridge University Press), The Remote Sensing Data Book (Cambridge University Press, 1999) and Remote Sensing of Glaciers (with P. Pellikka, Taylor and Francis, 2010). He was made a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 1996 and is a member of the Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Society.

**5 stars.  I read this book two times before writing a review because I wanted to give my viewpoint without the emotional high of a first read. Lilliet Garrison book is an easy read, but one would benefit more by asking questions and studying her book along with the Bible. She supports her statements with biblical scriptures that are easily found online by swapping from the ebook to an online Bible. Her book deals with the sins that keeps us from enjoying the life God gave us and growing in to Christian Maturity. Her words were very encouraging; I never felt condemned. To me, the author appears to say that there are two groups of sins. The first type of sins stops us from getting in the game, and the other group of sins stops us from winning the race.... ... After the second read, I felt more encouraged to take action toward a lifelong race of Christian Maturity with a stronger sense of urgency. The author offers steps to take to avoid the pitfalls of sin that we all encounter. This time, I will write down the wisdom that I gained from L. Garrison insights and use it daily. I thank God for her wisdom and generosity. This ebook was free to me on Amazon. Since my first read almost a month ago, I have purchased all eight of her ebooks. what God says might be better. I was looking for something with more substance ...

Contrary to what the title may suggest, this is not a book of practical application. It is instead a dictionary of sin with some Bible verses thrown in to tell you that God says these things are not appropriate. And sometimes, what God says might be better. I was looking for something with more substance out of a title like this, so I was disappointed. Not that it's bad; just that it's not what it appears to be.

She's done it again.

Another great book by Lilliet Garrison. This book showed me how things can make you drift away from God. For me it was TV. We bought a digital converter for our old tv so we could watch the news. Instead we ended up getting hooked on other shows. That's when I felt a message from God that I was drifting away from him. So between reading Lilliet's book and God I decided to return the converter. Both my husband and I felt a huge weight lifted when we did that. It brought us back to reading God's word again.
I also realized I was becoming a bit of a hoarder, thinking "I might need this some day". There's stuff in my closet I haven't seen for over a year. So if I haven't needed it for that long then it's time to get rid of it. I would rather spend my time with the Lord. This is why I really like Lilliet Garrison's books. They make you think, see and understand. I believe she is truly inspired by God to help us see his path and what he wants us to do and be.
This is a great book for your library as you will no doubt read it more than once when you need "Getting Unstuck".

Update: I re-read this book and I think this is one of my favorite books of Lilliet's. It covers so many of the things I've had questions about. Also, I realized some things about myself. I have two problems I've always blamed them on my being a Taurus but that was just an excuse not to face them. I have committed the sin of wanting possessions over what the Lord wanted, which my devotion and obedience. The other is my anger. If someone vocally attacks me for anything I feel the need to attack back, even if they are right. This book has shown me that I need to work on these things and ask God's forgiveness and help in solving these problems. Only he can do that. If you have problems that are holding you back from being close to your Father God you will want to read this book.

easy to read and understand

This has challenged me to ask God where I need to grow and change. I knew most of what you wrote,and have heard it before. Because of church issues we are facing I realize I need to ask the Holy Spirit to help me discern things to stay in the will of God and ask forgiveness where I have come short and failed. I love how you have scriptures within the context ,similar to a sermon. I feel God led me to your book and have been encouraged...thank you!
